How Coffee Will Help You Achieve Your New Year's Resolutions

New Year’s goal-setting isn’t anything new, but creating and sticking to resolutions during an ongoing pandemic sure is. Some people love them and some people don’t, but it’s safe to say that the heart is in the right place. These resolutions are rooted in hope and the desire to improve, and the ability to recognize and better ourselves is definitely admirable. However, it can be challenging to construct realistic expectations of ourselves and pursue certain ambitions because of everything that remains out of our control. But don’t be discouraged! With a delicious cup of Beantween coffee and sense of ambition, anything is possible. We want to help you begin achieving your goals by showing you all that coffee and caffeine can help you achieve, as well as ways you can be mindful on your journey of growth. So grab your drink and let's get into it.

  • Think big but not too big.

  • I know you're caffeinated in the morning from that first cup of coffee, but don't get ahead of yourself too quickly. Utilize that energy to focus on the things that can be achieved taking into consideration your personal circumstances and the current climate of the world. Otherwise, you might be setting yourself up for failure and disappointment which can ultimately stunt your headway. It’s amazing and crucial to have dreams, but if you expect too much of yourself too quickly in an unrealistic way, it can be counterproductive.

  • Realize that there is no such thing as a completely "new you," and that's perfectly fine.
  •

A “new you” doesn’t have to be totally reinventing yourself, but it can start with the sense of renewal we get each morning after we finish our last sip of coffee. You have worked hard and been through so much--getting rid of “old you” would be a disservice to everything that you have overcome. Try thinking of it more as becoming the best version of yourself rather than an entirely different individual.

  • Identify why you want to make the changes before you work towards them.

  • Caffeine allows us to think bigger and brighter, so drinking coffee before identifying why you want to achieve a particular goal is a great way to set yourself up for self-reflection. This answer won’t always be simple or easy to confront, but it’ll give more meaning to the progress you make. If you don’t know why you’re working toward a resolution, it may be difficult to motivate yourself as you go on throughout the year. Try writing it down in a journal, on your phone, or on a sticky note, and revisit it whenever you need that extra push.

  • Yes, taking steps in the direction of a resolution is still progress.

  • Maybe it's switching out your usual morning coffee brand that's high in acidity and pesticides for a cup of Beantween organic coffee because you're prioritizing your health in 2022. Or maybe you do this because you want something that will set up both your mind and body for ultimate success every day, as coffee helps us to focus on our goals. That's a small step in achieving your New Year's resolutions, but remember that you need to first plant seeds in order for a garden to grow. Preparation for success can be a very long, tiresome journey, and it’s important to remember that there is so much beauty in the process. Rushing to the end goal without appreciating how you got there can actually cause the opposite of what you desire. Start small and keep branching outward in areas that you can control.

  • Keep your coffee close and leave room for life’s happenings.

  • This last tip is meant to take the pressure off of you. Do everything you can that’s in your realm of control and leave the rest alone. Show up for yourself and others but do so in a way that is prepared for everything.

At Beantween, we want to support you through it all and remind you to be kind to yourself, especially in times of uncertainty. Whether you’re drinking a cup of Beantween Coffee before your first day of an exciting new job, or after a disheartening setback, we’re here. We work hard to provide you with the best organic coffee because we know what you deserve, and we will be here to remind you of that with each bag of coffee you purchase from us. We wish you and your families growth and prosperity in this new year!
